The smart security app
Snap Guard is a mobile application that integrates into a live, existing CCTV system. It adds an additional layer of security by empowering individuals to address security threats remotely, in real-time. No additional hardware costs required.
The solution is designed with businesses, office parks and homes in mind. It empowers a business manager or homeowner to regain control of the security of one’s premises for a nominal fee.
The onboarding process is uncomplicated and quick.
STEP 1:
One starts by downloading the Snap Guard app. The homeowner is prompted to complete details related to billing, site and user details, and notifications.
You have the option of choosing which features such as intruder detection and license plate recognition you require per camera, and during which times, dates and/or days notifications should be sent. We will only charge you for the features you select.
STEP 2:
Once done, Snap Guard can integrate into homeowner’s CCTV network. It is compatible with both DVR and NVR networks.
STEP 3:
At this point, Snap Guard goes live. All snapshots of movement are sent to the Snap Guard server. Using the AI machine learning technology, Snap Guard is able to identify suspicious or unusual activity, and dangerous objects.
If any of these are detected, the server sends an alert to the homeowner. The alert takes the form of a snapshot from the CCTV feed of the activity or object, empowering the homeowner to act in real-time

You can choose from notifications for motion detection, intrusion detection, object detection or removal, weapon detection, line crossing, loitering, and license plate recognition (LPR).
Notifications will be sent to whichever persons you specify in the onboarding phase.
Reports and summaries on the footage captured by the cameras are automatically generated for you.
A functioning CCTV system, steady power supply and internet connectivity
South Africans are acutely aware that crime is on the rise and life is becoming more dangerous. It is unfortunate that CCTV and even armed response cannot offer
adequate protection to homeowners and their families.
Snap Guard puts the power to act back in your hands. If for instance you are on holiday, you will be alerted of any suspicious activity at your home, in real-time, accompanied by a snapshot from the CCTV feed of what triggered the alert. You can then respond as you deem appropriate such as alerting the armed response company and your road’s WhatsApp group. One can also make use of Snap Guard’s 24 hour call centre to execute one’s instructions to resolve an issue, for an additional fee.
Can My Armed Response Provider Get the Notifications Too?
Absolutely. This is something that can be set up during the onboarding phase.
